TPO Waterproofing Membranes

The popularity of TPO's for use in roofing applications has increased tremendously in the U.S. during the past decade and now the trend is continuing in the U.K. this is largely due to a highly desirable set of perfomance characteristics that polypropylene-based (PP) TPO's provide, which are not available from any other commercial roofing product on the market.

Thermoplastic polyolefins have been around in the world wide roofing industry for over a decade and PP-based TPO products used in exposed or outdoor applications have been common in the U.S. since the 1970's. On a global basis, hundreds of millions of pounds of PP TPO's are used in a variety of applications including:

Automotive: Bumpers, Side panels, air intake ducts, wheel well liners and interior trim.
Recreational: Golf cart bodies, Snowmobile belly pans, bodies for inline roller skates.
Construction: Roofing, Geomembranes, Insulation and corrosion protection.

Environmentally Friendly
A Green 'Product for our Future Generations'

No chlorine (no toxic fumes)
Totally Recyclable - No migrating plasticisers
Improved environmental properties over PVC and
other synthetic products.

Strong with High Flexibility and Elasticity,
Dimensionally Stable
.

High resistance to puncture
Resistant to root penetration
Excellent low temperature flexibility and heat
resistance - remains flexible at 60ēC to 130ēC

Chemical
Resistant to bacterial aggression and suitable for
potable water storage.
Widest range of chemical resistance when compared
with EPDM, HDPE and PVC.

Fast, Clean and Safe Installation
Ease of welding (380-450ēC) allows for fast welding,
creating a homogeneous seam providing a seamless
roof covering whilst maintaining clean and safe
working areas.

Vapour Impermeable
Tests have shown that even the welds made with
an overlap of 60mm are highly resistant to vapour.
(Minimum value 200,000 ĩ UNI 8202 P23)
Therefore FortuneŽ membranes can be considered
a natural vapour barrier.
